Directed by Lorna Borret and choreographed by the teachers of Spiritus Dance Company, Why Walk When you can Dance is a film made during the pandemic as a way of making sure every pupil got to showcase their talent, even if lock down restrictions stopped concerts from happening. The film premiered at Roxy Cinema to a packed audience at the end of the year. It was a pleasure to work with such a vibrant and diversely talented group of people.

Filmed and Edited by Gecko Films Award-winning choreographer Loughlan Prior fuses dance with music in his visceral adaption of Schoenberg’s ‘Verklärte Nacht’ (Transfigured Night). Based on the mystical poem by Richard Dehmel, it is a celebration of new life, the duality of conflict and resolution and, ultimately, the reconciliation of one with the universe. Coupled with Dvořák’s gorgeously Slavonic string quartet, this night of intimacy, intensity and spiritual metamorphosis is given life by BalletCollective Aotearoa and New Zealand String Quartet in a moving journey of courage, strength and human warmth. An activity book to help kids learn about #Covid19. I immediately was interested and wanted to help out how I could so todays vlog is completely dedicated to her book and nothing else. I hope this can be a useful resource for caregivers around the world and also to anyone feeling the anxiety of all this barring down. Chelsea has a range of other books but also another version of this story for slightly older children. There are a range of other coping skills and activities in the booklet also. All free. This particular set was a collaboration between Chelsea and many other mother. It's currently available in 15 different languages.
